Blodgett Pool was a gift of the late John W. Blodgett Jr., '23. Regarded among the finest collegiate swimming facilities in the nation for fans and spectators alike, It was designed by The Arcitect's Collabortive of Cambridge in 1977, and dedicated on February 4, 1978, when the Harvard men's team hosted Princeton University.
The pool has permanent spectator seating for 1,200, and there is room on the pool deck to accommodate 500 swimmers, coaches, and officials. Blodgett Pool has hosted several men's and women's Ivy and Eastern Championships, and was the site of the 57th annual NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships in 1980. In 1991, Blodgett hosted the NCAA Men's Region One Diving Qualifier. Blodgett hosted both the men's Eastern Championships as well as the Ivy League women's championships in 2002.
In addition, the pool is the home of the water polo teams, and served as the host venue for the CWPA Men's Water Polo Northern Championships in 2002. The facility hosted the EISL Championships March 6-8, 2008.

PARKING INFORMATION
Parking in the vicinity of the Harvard Athletics campus in Allston can be challenging, particularly during the work week.
GORD lots parking meters: GPS to 65 North Harvard Street, and enter at Gate 8 at the closed end of the football stadium (yellow arrow on map). GORD lot meters require you pay and display a ticket on your dash. Max 4 hours per ticket. Published rates are $1.50 - $2.00/hour.
HBS surface lot: This attended lot is a short walk to Blodgett Pool. Published visitor rates are $22/day on weekdays and $11/day on weekends. GPS to Batten Way, Allston MA.
WEBS lot: GPS to 65 North Harvard Street, and enter at Gate 8 at the closed end of the football stadium (yellow arrow on map). This lot requires the use of the ZipBy app, and you must register your vehicle in the app before parking. Published rates are $2.50/hour.
Street Parking: There is limited street parking on North Harvard Street and Western Avenue.
Disability Parking: Vehicles with disability plate or placard may park in the GORD lot (see above) in designated spaces.
Drop-offs: The closest drop-off location is at 65 North Harvard Street adjacent to Blodgett Pool. Once you enter the Harvard Athletics parking complex, it is not possible to drive to a location adjacent to the pool.
